View Full Version : fins?
I was going to buy a new board, but can't afford it. So instead I think I'll buy some new fins (fcs). Anyone got any ideas on what sort of fins would be good for a 6"3, surfed in 2-5 ft by a surfer of very average ability. Should I just go for light ones, more flexible ones, or maybe just buy red ones :D
What, nobody cares about my new fins... anyhow, rang the surf shop, $110 for some carbon fins is too much for me, screw that.
you can take fcs fins for "test drives" can't ya?

Unless you really shred, there's no reason to go for a specific style of fin. Just the standard ones are okay if you are an average surfer. However, if you're pulling off cutties like Occy or airs like Taj , you may want to speak to a shaper. After all, these guys build this stuff for a living.
Also, there are cheaper models out there that are just as good as FCS.
I have heard that you can take FCS fins for test-drves, never looked into it though.
I'm not really good enough to justify spending heaps on fins... just felt like buying something. But not for that sort of cash. Might just put it in my new-board-fund.
TRY OUT THE KELLY FINS THEY ARE THE BEST IF TRIES SIMILAR TO AND FCS G3 BUT HEAPS MORE FLEX THEY TURN SO WELL AND HOLD SPEED THROUGH YOUR TURNS HELL GOOD TR EM OUT
