this dude is just capitalising by taking the wave and probs get pitted by the looks of the wave. im just saying this cos I do it a fair bit, only when the section is unmakeable...easy way to get waves in crowded conditions

ive also surfed that reef way off sandals one morning when it was big and wild. it was a 15 minute paddle off the headland and the reef there is nuts. i surfed one wave off that lefthander and then gave up and paddled in, too much chop and sweep over there. crazy wave. then came in and surfed sandals though i didnt know it was actually a proper break at the time.

Ronnie, this is the worst typhoon season on record so far. We havent had one typhoon swell yet and there have only been 3 typhoons. Normally we would have received swell from at least 4 typhoons and there would have been 6 or so typhoons. Still nothing down there NOW! Everyone is very very tense.

no beachbum. If you do your very basic maths, 2m is actually a bit over 6ft. The average bloke is 6ft. Hence if its 2m at burleigh its overhead.

If you say 3ft is overhead and 2m equals 6ft, then you woul say burleigh is double overhead at 2m.
